Position Overview:
Freddie Mac's Enterprise Model Risk Management group is currently seeking a Quantitative Analytics Professional to work on validation of Investments & Capital Market (I&CM) models that support key business and risk decisions.

Your Impact:

  • Responsible for validating I&CM Models that include interest rate, mortgage rate and derivative models per applicable Freddie Mac Policy and Standards and Regulatory requirements.
  • Effectively interact with team members of model validators as well as model developers and model users for model validations.
  • Perform thoughtful analytics to support model validation activities.
  • Research latest and emerging techniques to facilitate model validation.
  • Clearly articulate complex data analyses and research results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Write effective documentation to explain model validation testing and results.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree with equivalent work experience in quantitative fields such as mathematics, financial engineering, physics, quantitative finance.
  • Coursework or work experience leading to proficiency in programming languages—but are not limited to—Python, R, SQL, Java, SAS, and MATLAB.
  • Familiar with fixed incomes and derivatives concepts.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $101,000 - $151,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
