The Project Manager, Instructional Design will be tasked to leverage their skills in instructional design, project management, e-learning development, educational technology, and problem solving to support the PPN aims. Duties will include:
- Acts as a project leader for instructional design projects and leads instructional design projects
through iterative stages: conception, need analysis, design, development, evaluation and
maintenance.
- Develops and maintains project timelines and plans based on project and stakeholders needs.
- Manages relationships with internal and external partners, outside vendors, consultants and peer
institutions.
- Provides consultation, assess project needs, and makes recommendations for instructional design
projects, such as design solutions, technology selection, resources, timelines, priorities and more.
- Develops instructional design deliverables such as storyboards, curriculum maps, outlines and
prototypes, etc. in collaboration with SMEs and other team members.
- Manages assigned project tasks to ensure timely and high-quality outcomes. Provides regular status
reports on assigned projects.
- Maintains in depth knowledge of existing and emerging instructional technologies. Delivers technical
expertise and provides recommendations in researching, evaluating and implementing new
instructional technologies.
- Manages operating systems, applications, web services, and content on the department's servers.
- Develops and reports on metrics that measure usage, reliability and client satisfaction for all
technology services provided.
- Maintains highest possible degree of service and responsiveness in complex, multi-stakeholder,
multi-vendor, multiplatform environment.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree (Required) Or
Master's Degree (Preferred)
Minimum Work Experience
5 Years Related And Progressive Experience (Required)
3 years Project management experience (Required)
3 years Experience in instructional design and healthcare education development (Preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Familiarity and experience with electronic database research tools, including use of the Internet.
Understanding of management information systems and technology is helpful.
Full command of Microsoft Word, Excel and/or similar software applications.
Knowledge and awareness of Project Management principles, documents and plans.
Good facilitation and analytical skills.
Ability to deliver results on time, on budget, and to the very highest standards.
Ability to quickly gain the technical, behavioral and contextual elements of a project.

Functional Accountabilities
Project Communication
- Develop communication plan (oral and written) for each initiative with assigned teams to include updates and status reports associated with each project.
- Develop and implement stakeholder satisfaction tools for each project to ensure stakeholder buy-in and satisfaction.
- Keep executives informed of progress, barriers, etc.
- Facilitate team discussions and provide detailed feedback and follow-through.
- Listen and provide feedback to end user suggestions and issues.
Project Management
- Ensure all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
- Ensure resource availability and allocation.
- Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
- Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
Internal and External Relations
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
- Successfully manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
- Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
