Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate various art techniques, styles, and cultural perspectives, ensuring alignment with educational standards.
  • Lead engaging classroom sessions that promote active participation, critical thinking, and creative exploration among students of all ages.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively by implementing positive behavior management strategies and maintaining a respectful learning environment.
  • Drive to school sites, set up, teach and clean up art lessons.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience working with children in educational settings, including classroom management.
  • Strong knowledge of various art mediums, techniques, and curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Prior experience teaching art or teaching children is a plus but not required.
