Position Summary: The Donations and Event Coordinator has the primary responsibility of Community Outreach aspects of Coffee Traders including Donations, Events, and Coffee Catering when applicable.

Position Schedule: This is currently a Part-Time position with flexible office hours. Some Brew donations and events will require early mornings and weekends.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Coffee Traders products and understanding of company culture and values
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate via phone, text, and email
  • Current Texas Food Handler Certification

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to Coffee Traders primary focuses: Community needs, Climate, Youth, Equality
  • Point of contact for donation requests and pick up facilitation
  • Communicate effectively and work with other departments as needed such as production, retail, social media, etc.
  • Be versed in organizations and people that are close to the heart of Coffee Traders or who have received our support previously
  • Be plugged in to current community needs during times of crisis, bring new donation causes to our attention
  • Occasionally be available outside of business hours for early morning and weekend brews or pick ups
  • Brew coffee donations and gather products such as cups, creamer, sugar, stir sticks, etc.
  • Fulfill gift basket orders, donation requests, & catering orders as well as provide quotes on such items to customers
  • Keep track of products used, invoicing, and tax receipts for accurate donation tracking
  • Create donation tickets for accounting to invoice
  • Organize, promote, manage and attend events at our 7 th St café, including coming up with fun event ideas and working with staff who have event ideas
  • Communicate and set up vendors for market events at the 7 th St café
  • Provide excellent customer service representing Coffee Traders at events with knowledge on company practices.
  • Stay current with events in our community and ensure we are involved where appropriate
  • Communicate and meet with representatives of other organizations
  • Scheduling event staff of appropriate employees

Abilities, Skills, and Requirements

  • Some Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational and creative thinking skills
  • Ability to operate within budget for wages, supplies, equipment, and other expenses
  • Catering or Event experience preferred but not required
  • Excellent email communication skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 20 per week
