Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting

Hybrid 3 days onsite - WFH quarter-end and year-end

Join the fully in-house SEC Reporting team of a well-known Fortune 500 company in Chicago You will be responsible for the start-to-finish filing process of an entire entity.

Support the preparation of quarterly, annual, and current SEC filings (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K) by drafting financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements. Partner with Accounting, Legal, and FP&A teams to ensure accuracy, assist with XBRL tagging, support quarterly earnings releases, and maintain documentation for SOX compliance and external audits.

What makes you a good fit for the Senior Accountant, SEC Reporting role?

  • Master's/Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or in progress
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in SEC reporting or public accounting (Big 4 or national firm experience a plus)
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, and financial reporting requirements
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Workiva, Oracle, Hyperion, or other ERP/reporting systems preferred
