Position Summary

As a Dean of Students at Bold, you will drive a culture of achievement that actualizes Bold's vision for a world-class K-12 public education—preparing every student to succeed at the highest levels in college and beyond. To help us achieve our vision, we are searching for a candidate with 3+ years of aligned experience in a high-performing K-12 setting. Ideal candidates will have a solutions-oriented mindset and a foundational belief that every child can succeed when we create a culture that holds everyone—team, students, and families— to high expectations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing a deep understanding of Bold's culture, values, and model
  • Implementing a vision for student and school culture that is guided by Bold's values
  • Investing all stakeholders in Bold's learning readiness and school culture initiatives, and the overall academic success of every student
  • Developing strong relationships with families and students, including regular communication that drives high levels of engagement in school culture and academics
  • Supporting a culture of excellence across the school, collaborating with school leadership and team members on all aspects of school management
  • Modeling Bold's core values and building a positive student and team culture across the school
  • Training with colleagues and school leaders, which includes regularly implementing feedback with grace and urgency in service of student achievement, a values-based school culture, a positive professional work environment, and personal leadership development
  • Demonstrating a mission-first mindset to ensure all decisions and actions are rooted in ensuring that all students excel

Qualifications

  • Have 3+ years of aligned experience in a high-performing K-12 setting 
  • Hold exceptionally high personal standards for performance and possess an excellence reflex that constantly raises the bar
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree with an outstanding record of achievement and leadership; graduate degree preferred

Flexible. 

Compensation

Bold Charter School offers highly competitive compensation, in the top range of comparable positions across New York City charter schools. The salary range for this position is $100 - $130,000 annually and includes a comprehensive benefits package.
