Position Summary: The Facility and Business Development Liaison plays a critical role in fostering relationships between Summit Medical Consultants and its partner facilities. This position is responsible for maintaining strong communication with facility administrators, providers, and internal teams to enhance service delivery, improve provider experiences, and drive business growth. The role involves a combination of relationship management, operational support, and business development, ensuring Summit Medical Consultants continues to expand its presence in post-acute care settings. This position requires a blend of field travel and in-office responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:Facility & Provider Relations:
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Summit Medical Consultants' processes to ensure accurate and effective communication with facility partners.
- Represent Summit's mission and objectives, working to enhance census growth, provider support, and overall quality of care.
- Actively engage with facilities to understand their challenges and relay insights to Summit's leadership for strategic improvement.
- Serve as a communication hub between providers, facilities, and administrative teams, documenting and tracking key interactions.
- Identify and track facility-specific challenges and strengths, making data-driven recommendations to Practice Management regarding provider assignments and workflow improvements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with facility provider teams, offering on-site support and addressing any concerns.
- Organize and participate in routine facility meetings, coordinating with Summit Medical Consultants' administration as needed.
New Facility Onboarding & Relationship Management:
- Lead the onboarding process for new facility partnerships, ensuring providers are well-equipped for success from day one.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facility credentialing, access, and administrative setup, escalating issues as necessary.
- Keep facilities stocked with Summit-branded marketing materials, ensuring visibility and accessibility.
- Conduct and track patient satisfaction surveys, identifying areas for improvement and recommending solutions to leadership.
- Address and resolve facility and provider concerns, ensuring follow-through on all issues to maintain positive working relationships.
- Track facility leadership changes and maintain ongoing relationships with key decision-makers to identify new partnership opportunities.
Business Development & Growth Strategy:
- Utilize existing and new relationships to drive lead generation and achieve business development goals.
- Develop relationships with regional administrators and corporate decision-makers to explore expansion opportunities.
- Promote Summit Medical Consultants' mission and brand at workshops, conferences, and community-based events.
- Collaborate with Summit leadership to analyze market trends, forecast business development opportunities, and ensure alignment with recruitment needs.
- Maintain detailed records of new and existing business development contacts, tracking progress and opportunities.
- Organize and coordinate professional networking events sponsored by Summit Medical Consultants to enhance business growth and visibility.
- Identify and pursue new facility partnerships based on emerging client needs and industry trends.
- Oversee and facilitate presentations on Summit's capabilities, ensuring providers and regional teams are equipped to support growth initiatives.
Operational & Administrative Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Admin on Call Rotation, providing support for facility issues as they arise.
- Attend monthly team meetings and facility-specific or administrative meetings as necessary.
- Coordinate with internal teams daily to resolve outstanding facility concerns, ensuring smooth operational workflows.
- Track and follow up on all facility-related issues, maintaining accountability for resolution and adherence to deadlines.
- Analyze business conditions and provide recommendations to leadership regarding operational improvements.
- Prepare and maintain reports to support business development and facility operations, ensuring leadership has access to relevant data.
- Identify and implement solutions to operational challenges, proactively engaging leadership when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned and as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in client or provider relations, healthcare business development, or facility management.
- Strong understanding of post-acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and inpatient rehabilitation environments.
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to analyze data, track business trends, and develop actionable strategies.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Willingness to travel regularly to partner facilities.
Work Environment: This position requires a combination of in-office work and collaboration, in-field travel to facilities, and occasional remote work, as needed. Flexibility is essential to effectively manage relationships, resolve issues, and pursue business development opportunities.
