Mental Health Therapist

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new clients and families, creating a welcoming atmosphere that respects diverse backgrounds.
- Provide personalized outpatient therapy (individual and family) tailored to the unique needs of each client, promoting healing and resilience.
- Develop crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention plans, and wellness plans to help clients maintain stable functioning and support their mental health journey.
- Participate in case consultations, agency meetings, and discharge planning to enhance the overall quality of client care.
- Ensure the timely completion of documentation, including treatment plans, billing, and insurance authorization forms, maintaining the highest professional standards.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, dietitians, administrative staff, and other therapists to provide a holistic approach to mental health care.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field.
- If applicable, provisional license as required by state regulations.
- A passion for mental health and a commitment to providing exceptional care.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and families.
- Ability to manage time effectively and efficiently complete documentation and administrative tasks.
- Strong ethical practice and confidentiality standards.
- Eagerness to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to continuous professional development (including free supervision and ongoing education).
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a therapeutic or mental health care setting.
- Familiarity with outpatient therapy and treatment planning.
- Previous work in multidisciplinary team environments.
