Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic 7th/8th Grade Math Teacher to inspire and guide middle school students through their mathematical journey. In this role, you will create engaging lessons, foster a positive learning environment, and support students' academic growth in various math disciplines. Your enthusiasm for education and strong communication skills will help ignite curiosity and confidence in your students, preparing them for future success in mathematics and beyond.

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating innovative instructional strategies and learning technology tools.
  • Teach a diverse range of math topics including algebra, geometry, trigonometry, discrete math, calculus, and differential equations to middle school students.
  • Analyze assessment results to monitor student progress and tailor instruction accordingly.
  • Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a respectful, inclusive environment conducive to learning.
  • Provide whole group and small group instruction to support students' unique needs, including those requiring special education accommodations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on school-wide initiatives to enhance educational quality.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

  • Licensed teacher in the state of Nevada.
  • Strong knowledge of math disciplines such as algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and calculus.
  • Familiarity with learning technology platforms and instructional design methodologies to enhance student engagement.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective instruction and collaboration with colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to implement behavior management strategies and create a classroom environment conducive to learning.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $52, $62,500.00 per year
