Job Title: Medical Biller / Credentialing Specialist with management skills (Part-Time → Full-Time Potential)

Location: Alpha Urgent Care – Auburn Hills, MI

Schedule: Part-Time (with opportunity to transition to Full-Time)

About Us:

Alpha Urgent Care is a growing, patient-centered medical facility in Auburn Hills dedicated to providing quality and efficient care to our community. We're looking for a skilled Medical Biller who brings strong experience in billing, credentialing, and claims management with management skills, someone who can grow with our team as we expand.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily medical billing and claim submissions using Athenahealth (Athena) software
  • Review and resolve claim rejections and denials in a timely manner
  • Handle provider credentialing and re-credentialing with insurance payers
  • Maintain accurate and organized billing and credentialing records
  • Generate billing and reimbursement reports; assist in revenue cycle management
  • Collaborate with front desk and clinical teams to improve billing accuracy and workflow
  • Support management with process improvement initiatives as the practice grows

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of medical billing and credentialing experience (urgent care or outpatient preferred)
  • Proficiency in Athenahealth (Athena) software required
  • Strong understanding of claim denial management and payer follow-ups
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership in billing operations

Compensation:

Competitive hourly rate based on experience

Flexible part-time schedule with opportunity for full-time advancement
