The Director, Fundraiser Performance oversees key areas of PragerU's fundraising efforts, managing two fundraising teams with a total of twelve staff members and securing gifts between $1,000 and $25,000. This role is responsible for generating over $15 million in annual revenue and requires a people-first leader who excels at building, coaching, and managing a high-performing team across donor acquisition, stewardship, and membership operations. The ideal candidate will enjoy mentoring fundraisers, be a strategic thinker who drives success, and set the vision and operating rhythm for the team by translating strategy into clear goals and workflows to ensure the team consistently delivers an exceptional donor experience at scale.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop two fundraising teams; set goals, KPIs, and operating cadence
  • Drive performance management, resourcing, and cross-team coordination to remove blockers
  • Optimize donor tiers and stewardship programs using data, testing, and clear SLAs
  • Implement scalable processes, SOPs, and systems with strong CRM hygiene
  • Oversee events and campaigns in partnership with Development, Data, Creative, and Finance
  • Evaluate, optimize, and manage donor club tiers by auditing current fundraising, identifying gaps and opportunities, and executing improvements with the team
  • Establish and monitor departmental metrics and align short-term fundraising goals with long-term planning and capacity
  • Implement best practices, policies, and SOPs; select and deploy systems and workflows that scale operations
  • Oversee portfolio management, upgrades, renewals, and retention programs with clear SLA targets for acknowledgments, stewardship touches, and reporting

Successful Candidates Will Possess:

  • 7-10+ years of professional experience
  • Proven ability to build and scale fundraising team operations
  • MUST have direct fundraising success (cultivation and solicitation) and/or deep knowledge of major gifts stewardship best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage, collaborate, and persuade
  • Entrepreneurial, test-and-learn mindset with a bias toward action
  • Analytical, systems-oriented approach to problem solving
  • Highest discretion in handling sensitive information and documentation
  • CRM/database proficiency; Virtuous preferred
  • Willingness to travel occasionally
  • Critical thinker and collaborative team player with a strong sense of urgency
  • Comfortable working through ambiguity and adapting quickly to shifting priorities
  • Builds strong relationships and works effectively with individuals at all levels, including senior leadership

Salary Range: The salary target for this role is $125,000 - $175,000+. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and most recent market data. This position is eligible for an annual bonus based on personal and company performance, in addition to our robust benefits package.
