Job Description

As a Security Officer - Retail Driver in Pittston, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more.

As an Allied Universal team member at a major retail distribution location, you will focus on access control responsibilities, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a welcoming presence for all visitors, vendors, and team members. Your role includes monitoring entry and exit points, conducting routine patrols throughout the premises, and delivering outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures and following site-specific policies at the location.
  • Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding areas to observe for security-related concerns.
  • Document and report observations, incidents, and/or unusual activities according to company and client requirements.
  • Assist visitors and employees with inquiries in a professional manner while maintaining security-related protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal training.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfort with using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
