The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in healthcare management, clinical research, and medical records management, driving excellence across all facets of patient care and organizational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert medical leadership by developing and implementing clinical policies aligned with industry standards such as NCQA and FDA regulations.
  • Oversee utilization management processes to optimize patient outcomes while maintaining cost-effectiveness in managed care settings.
  • Supervise medical staff, including physicians and clinical teams, ensuring adherence to HIPAA, healthcare regulations, and hospital protocols.
  • Collaborate with administrative teams to develop budgets, monitor financial performance related to medical services, and ensure compliance with healthcare management standards.
  • Lead efforts in clinical research initiatives, supporting the development of new treatments and innovations in patient care.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Drive quality improvement initiatives by monitoring key performance indicators related to patient care, medical records accuracy, and compliance with NCQA standards.
  • Stay current with advancements in physiology, anatomy knowledge, and clinical development to inform best practices and improve patient outcomes.

Experience

  • Proven experience in hospital or healthcare facility management with a strong background in clinical leadership roles as a physician or medical director.
  • Extensive knowledge of managed care principles, utilization management, and healthcare regulations including FDA compliance and HIPAA privacy laws.
  • Demonstrated expertise in EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems for documentation and data analysis.
  • Experience supervising medical staff, managing budgets, and implementing quality assurance programs aligned with NCQA standards.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and clinical development processes.
  • Prior involvement in clinical research projects or initiatives that advance patient care practices.
