$50-55/hr (W2)

The Strategic Communications Lead is responsible for driving projects from early concept through successful completion, on time, within budget, and aligned with defined performance metrics. This role provides high-impact strategic communication support to a business unit or major department, working with a high level of independence while anticipating client needs and delivering communication solutions that advance business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic communication plans, including message development and content creation.
  • Use research, analytics, and audience insights to inform planning and messaging.
  • Manage projects with discipline and consistency, ensuring adherence to established processes and timelines.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal clients and cross-functional partners.
  • Track and report progress using quantifiable metrics.
  • Interface directly with business unit leadership and business process owners.
  • Contribute broadly to the Marketing & Communications team across varied communications activities.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant experience; multi-disciplinary background preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Marketing, Liberal Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, or related field.
  • Demonstrated expertise in writing and editing, including completion of writing/editing tests.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans grounded in research and audience insights.
  • Strong project management capabilities.
  • Excellent writing, verbal communication, editing, presentation, and overall communication skills.
  • Strong customer-service orientation with flexibility to meet internal client needs.
  • Solid business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to perform market research and analytics.
  • Creative thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow structured business processes to ensure quality and timely delivery.
  • Ability to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
