Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Manager (RN) for a Long-Term Care facility in the Geneva, NY area. This leadership role oversees nursing operations, staff development, patient care quality, and regulatory compliance within an established and supportive care environment.

The Nurse Manager plays a vital role in shaping clinical culture—fostering teamwork, promoting dignity and respect, and ensuring that each resident receives high-quality, relationship-based care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day clinical operations across assigned nursing units
  • Supervise CNAs, LPNs, RNs, and clerical staff to ensure effective workflow and quality outcomes
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate policies and processes that support resident-centered care
  • Lead performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to meet departmental goals
  • Ensure compliance with DOH and facility standards
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing and Administration on strategic planning
  • Promote an environment of professional growth, communication, and mutual respect

Qualifications

  • Active New York State RN License (Required)
  • BLS Certification – American Heart Association (Required)
  • Previous Nurse Manager or Leadership Experience (Required)
  • Strong understanding of long-term care standards, DOH regulations, and staff development practices
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EMR systems (Meditech preferred)

Schedule & Compensation

  • 40 hours per week | no overtime
  • Weekly Gross Pay: $2,986
  • Reports to: Director of Nursing (DON) & Administrative DON
  • Supervises: CNA Trainees, CNAs, SR CNAs, LPNs, RNs, Unit Clerks
