The Program Assistant for Maternal and Child Health programs is a grant-funded position assisting the Director of Maternal and Child Health with developing program reports for the Title X grant in collaboration with BMS IT staff; running weekly reports, and entering data into the Ahler's Database mandated by the MD Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. The Program Assistant maintains open communication with program staff of the Baltimore City Health Department, as well as BMS sites designated as Title X Clinics. The program Assistant also provides administrative and clerical support to all Maternal and Child Health grants. Communicates frequently with external contacts and vendors, and is responsible for ensuring ongoing service. Frequent communication outside of the work group is required to reach agreements and clarify issues/processes. Responsibility exists to ensure that internal customers are satisfied with service.

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

Preferred Education:

  • AA degree or technical training in a relevant field.

Required Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Current MD Driver's license and personal vehicle required.

Required Experience:

  • Two years of prior experience in Maternal and Child Health grants.
  • Two years of prior experience in the Title X Family Planning program.

Preferred Experience:

  • Two years of prior experience working in community service or customer service
