Overview of the Organization and Position
Delight Recovery Center, a dedicated six-bed detox and residential care facility located in Northridge, California, is seeking a highly organized and results-driven professional to join our team as an Intake Specialist.
This pivotal role is responsible for expertly managing the initial client engagement process, ensuring a compassionate, compliant, and efficient onboarding experience for all prospective clients.
The Intake Specialist will work in close collaboration with the Admission Coordinator, serving as the critical first point of contact to facilitate access to our vital services.
Compensation and Employment Structure

The compensation is offered at an hourly rate of $25.00 to $30.00, Depending on Experience (DOE).

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
The successful candidate's primary focus will be on efficiently converting potential leads into verified admissions through the following core functions:
* Lead Management and Verification: The crucial first step involves the acquisition of identifying documentation (ID) and insurance card information from potential client leads. This documentation must be promptly and accurately verified using the Codemax system to confirm coverage, eligibility, and benefits.
* Assessment and Triage: Conduct a thorough clinical phone screen assessment post-verification. If the potential client meets both the preliminary clinical criteria and has confirmed coverage, communication with the Program Director is immediately required to present the client's profile for further review.
* Logistical Coordination: Systematically organize client transportation logistics and estimate the expected time of arrival (ETA) for the admission to the Northridge facility.
* Data Entry: Initiate the client's preliminary electronic health record by starting the chart on the Kipu system and meticulously inputting all gathered information to ensure data integrity and completeness.
* Communication and Relationship Management: Maintain consistent, professional, and empathetic communication with the potential client and their loved ones, providing necessary updates and managing expectations throughout the intake and admission process.
* Collaboration: The role requires working closely and collaboratively with the Admission Coordinator to ensure a seamless and coordinated transition of the client from initial inquiry to full admission into the residential program.
Required Qualifications and Competencies
* Industry Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of relevant industry experience is mandatory, preferably within the behavioral health or substance abuse treatment sector.
* Credentials: Must hold a professional credential of SUDRC (Substance Use Disorder Registered Counselor) or higher.

The role operates under a key collaborative partnership with the Admission Coordinator to optimize client flow.
