Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Member Services Ambassador to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our members, providing exceptional customer service and support. You will assist with inquiries, process transactions, and ensure a positive experience for all members. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

  • Greet guests as they arrive, making sure they feel welcome and comfortable.
  • Answer questions about the facility, including court availability, pricing, and schedules.
  • Provide information on pickleball lessons, leagues, and special events.

Booking & Reservations:

  • Manage reservations for pickleball courts, ensuring that bookings are up-to-date and accurate.
  • Use booking software to help players reserve courts and equipment (paddles, balls, etc).
  • Help players with online reservations or assist in walk-in-bookings.

Processing Payments:

  • Handle payment transactions for court reservations, lessons, or merchandise.
  • Ensure that all transactions are processed accurately.

Maintaining Facility Cleanliness:

  • Ensure the lobby area, bathrooms, community rooms, mezzanine, and courts are kept clean and organized.
  • Restock any necessary supplies, like water, towels, or pickleball equipment

Promoting Programs & Events:

  • Inform customers abut ongoing or upcoming leagues, tournaments, or social events.
  • Help with sign-ups for lessons or group activities.
  • Promote pickleball merchandise (paddles, equipment, and apparel)

Assisting with Equipment:

  • Rent out or sell pickleball equipment, ensuring it is in good condition.
  • Provide beginner tips or advice on choosing the right equipment for players new to the game.

Safety & Policy Enforcement:

  • Ensure that all players are following the facility's rules, such as dress codes, court etiquette, and safety guidelines.
  • Address any concerns or complaints from guests and escalate issues to management when necessary.

Skills & Qualities:

  • Excellent Communication: You will need to be friendly and approachable, with the ability to communicate clearly with customers.
  • Organizational Skills: Managing bookings, handling payments, and keeping track of supplies all require strong organizational skills.
  • Multitasking: You might need to handle multiple tasks at once, such as answering the phone while assisting a customer in person.
  • Knowledge of Pickleball: While you do not have to be a pickleball expert, having a general understanding of the sport will be helpful in answering questions and making recommendations.
  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all reservations, payments, and inventory are accurate is key to keeping operations running smoothly.

Job Type: Part-time
