Overview

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Logistics and Delivery Manager to oversee and optimize our supply chain and distribution operations and deliveries. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of logistics systems, and a proven track record in process improvement and operations management, and make daily deliveries in the Fort Wayne Area and in the Midwest region as needed. This role is vital in ensuring efficient transportation, inventory control, and warehouse management to support our company's growth and customer satisfaction. The Logistics and Delivery Manager will lead and manage one other warehouse associate and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive logistics strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on supply chain efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Oversee transportation planning, freight management, and dispatching to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Manage and execute warehouse operations including inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping & receiving, and warehouse distribution.
  • Supervise warehouse staff and logistics teams, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Implement lean principles and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain high standards for inventory control and warehouse safety protocols.
  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement in logistics processes through supply chain management best practices.

Skills

  • Extensive experience in operations management within logistics or supply chain environments.
  • Hands-on experience with transportation planning, freight management, fleet management, procurement, purchasing, and dispatching.
  • Supervisory experience managing warehouse teams or logistics staff with skills in supervising warehouse operations including inventory management, shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and warehouse distribution.
  • Skilled in using forklift equipment safely within warehouse environments.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills; capable of supervising diverse teams effectively.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid and clean driver's license
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to lift, slide, lower packages that typically weigh 25-50 lbs and may weigh up to 75 lbs
  • Pass required drug screen

Pay: $ $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
