Position Summary:

A growing CPA firm is seeking a Tax Supervisor to manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individual and real estate-focused clients. The role emphasizes tax review responsibilities, with some involvement in complex tax preparation. The ideal candidate will support client relationship management, provide technical expertise, and help streamline workflow by shifting detail review responsibilities from current managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage tax engagements for real estate and high-net-worth clients.
  • Review federal and multi-state individual, partnership, and trust tax returns.
  • Perform complex tax preparation as needed.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships and serve as a key point of contact.
  • Support the delegation and oversight of work from senior managers and partners.
  • Mentor and train junior staff to ensure quality and development.
  • Stay updated on tax law developments relevant to client base.
  • Assist with tax planning strategies and year-round consulting services.

Requirements:

  • CPA license or progress toward licensure strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of public accounting experience in tax, with supervisory responsibilities.
  • Experience with high-net-worth individuals and real estate entities is required.
  • Strong knowledge of partnership and individual taxation.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in tax software and MS Office Suite.
