Summary Description:

The Outlet Store Associate is to assist store management in the daily operation of the Last Chance Auction and Outlet. Reports to the Outlet Store Manager or Outlet Assistant Manager in the Manager's absence.

Exemplary Duties / Responsibilities:

• Preparing, replenishing, and rotating products for table sales multiple times each day in 20-minute intervals.
• Assist customers in understanding the auction process, including bidding, purchasing, sorting, and associated fees. 
• Operating cash register, Process Point of Sale (POS), purchases as assigned.
• Responsible for accuracy of transactions when assigned to cashier and adherence to company cash and credit card policy and procedure. 
• Report safety hazards and all accidents to the Store Manager or Assistant Manager IMMEDIATELY. 
• Maintain brand and operational standards (visual, cleanliness, and safety). 
• Completing all store housekeeping functions (cleaning, dusting, sweeping, mopping, empty trash, and other duties as assigned).
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks to receive daily retail store-pulled merchandise. 
• Provide customer service in a positive, professional, and courteous manner to both internal and external customers. 
• May be cross trained for other Donated Goods Retail (DGR) functions and assist in dock area as needed. 
• Answer the telephone in a courteous manner. 
• Attend general departmental meetings, and safety meetings as required.
• Be flexible in performing a variety of duties. 
• Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

• One to two years of positive work history, preferably in a warehouse or similar role.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing. 
• Ability to read, write, and understand simple instructions.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Understanding of rendering customer service and working with the public is desirable.
• Able to answer the telephone.
• Use of cash register and calculator /10 key necessary. 
• Accuracy of work is essential.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
• Cooperation with store personnel, direct supervisors, and Division Director.  
• Ability to serve customers effectively.
• Quantity and quality of work performed.
• Accuracy of records maintained.
• Ability to meet deadlines and respond to special needs.
• Ability to serve the public professionally and courteously. 
• Ability to follow simple instructions.
• Appearance and organization of assigned workstation.
• Ability to perform some janitorial duties.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Bilingual is a plus.
