Job Summary

Position Overview:

The Warehouse Manager for SpeedX oversees the daily sorting and dispatch operations, ensuring operational efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with SpeedX standards. This role demands exceptional leadership, logistical expertise, and the ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced workflows effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Management

  • Lead and oversee all sorting operations to ensure timely and accurate package processing.
  • Optimize workflows, sorting schedules, and task prioritization based on operational demands.
  • Enforce compliance with SpeedX sorting protocols and quality benchmarks.
  • Manage and maintain sorting equipment, including scanners and printers, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Oversee mid-mile dispatch control and monitor morning dispatch team operations for seamless delivery transitions.

Staff Supervision

  • Recruit, onboard, train, and develop warehouse staff to achieve optimal performance levels.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and resolve staff-related concerns.
  • Develop and manage staffing schedules to meet fluctuating workload requirements.

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of package inventory within the warehouse.
  • Oversee the maintenance and procurement of equipment and supplies, ensuring continuous operation.
  • Ensure stable and reliable internet connectivity to support sorting operations and data transmission.

Data Reporting

  • Generate and analyze key performance metrics, including throughput, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
  • Present regular performance updates to senior management, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.

Safety & Compliance

  • Enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure and organized work environment.
  • Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in warehouse or sorting operations, with at least 1 year in a managerial capacity.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and sorting technologies.
  • Technical aptitude with scanning equipment and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and time-management abilities.
  • Adaptability and problem-solving skills to handle unexpected operational challenges.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and physically demanding environment.

Working Requirements:

  • Must be available for late-night shifts (3 PM – 12 AM), weekends, and holidays.

This is an onsite position, requiring physical presence at the warehouse.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50, $60,000.00 per year
