Storopack is a family owned, privately held international company with 20 manufacturing locations throughout North America – Corporate headquarters resides in Cincinnati, OH. Storopack specializes in protective packaging for "in-the-box" product applications. Storopack produces flexible packaging materials such as; Air Cushions, Paper Padding, Foam-in-Place, Loose Fill, Bubble, Mailers, Pre-Molded Foam Cushions and the packaging systems producing these materials on-demand at the customer facility. We work directly with the client and sell our products through distribution.

Storopack is conducting a search for a technician to work at the Cincinnati Service Center. This position reports directly to the Production Manager. The technician will responsible for tear down, cleaning, assembly and troubleshooting of all Storopack product lines.

Normal work hours are Monday – Friday, 6am – 2:30pm.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Disassembly, cleaning, rebuilding/assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, retrofitting and calibration of STOROpack equipment.
  • Interpret and understand electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Troubleshooting to identify root cause of machine malfunctions.
  • Fabrication skills including, but not limited to metal cutting, drilling and tapping, welding, etc. is preferred.
  • 5S+ Activities (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain + Safety).
  • Assist with other departments within the Service Center when required including but not limited to Shipping, Receiving, Crating, Paint, and machine teardown.

Qualifications: (Education, Experience, Job Competency):

  • Vocational degree, certificate, or equivalent training in industrial maintenance, electronics, repair, or related industry and 2+ years of experience in a related field.
  • Mechanical assembly experience
  • Electrical Wiring experience

Key Competencies:

  • Basic understanding of AC and DC circuits.
  • Ability to use a multi-meter
  • Use of hand tools and power tools (circular saw, drill press, pneumatic tools, etc.)
  • Basic electrical wiring skills, practices and techniques.
  • Ability to read blueprints, electrical schematics, and assembly drawings
  • Be detailed oriented, results driven, and have the ability to analyze and problem solve.
  • Strong verbal and written skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
