SBM Site Services has an immediate opening for a Buyer at our corporate headquarters in Sacramento, CA.  The Buyer is responsible for coordinating procurement and distribution of materials, parts, equipment, and supplies for the organization.

CORE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Recommend products and/or services for Sr. Buyer and Sourcing reviewAnalyzes the requirements of the commodity, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date commodity is neededSolicits and evaluates proposals for the requested commodityInvestigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirementsAdvises team members or management on the appropriate supplier to be usedNegotiates the lowest possible cost for the commodity balanced against the optimum quality and schedule needsImplements purchase contracts that comply with company and government regulationsAssures that the commodity is delivered on schedule, at the negotiated price, and meets the quality standards of the companyMaintains timely control of orders, amendments, shipping notices, and other documents to assure accurate retention of recordsCoordinates appropriate methods needed to distribute commodity in a cost-effective manner. Order follow-up and resolving backordersAssist Purchasing Team and Receiving by contacting Suppliers and request for missing documents (Packing Slips, COA's and COC)Assist and coordinate with Purchasing Team by working on Open Order Report and obtain current status and ETA'sProcess returns merchandise items back to Suppliers for damaged or incorrect shipments Follow up with Suppliers for missing order Acknowledgements/Order Confirmations Expedite ordersUpdate QC and PD logs with PO#'s and ETA's

Compensation: $ $27.00/Hour
Benefits Include: Medical/Dental/Vision and 401k
Shift: 7am - 3:30pm
