Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Gas Station Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. You will assist with fueling vehicles, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills and a passion for delivering excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with fueling their vehicles.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for processing transactions accurately.
  • Manage cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts.
  • Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure product availability.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and promote special offers to enhance sales.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the station, including restrooms and convenience store areas.
  • Supervise any junior staff or trainees, providing guidance and support when necessary.
  • Utilize retail math skills to assist with inventory management and sales reporting.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
  • Familiarity with cash handling practices and experience using POS systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and a willingness to learn new skills related to the role.
