J&D Machine and Gear Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Machinist with CNC and manual experience to join our team. We are a job shop specializing in custom components, low volume production, machine repair, and refurbishment. In business since 1976, we support manufacturing, aerospace, fishing, construction, food, and other industries on projects of all sizes. If you enjoy working on small production runs, one-off parts, and equipment repairs, this could be the perfect fit.

Full-Time, Monday – Friday, Part-Time candidates will be considered.

Seeking candidates with the following experience & skills:

  • 10+ years experience programming, setting up, and running HAAS CNC lathes & mills
  • G-code editing & programming
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing prints
  • Proficient in the use of handheld measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Good math/trigonometry skills
  • Manual machining to support production jobs, prototyping, tooling and fixtures
  • Maintain machines and keep them clean and running efficiently
  • Fusion 360 CAD/CAM experience a plus
  • BobCAD-CAM experience a plus
  • Follow all shop safety policies and practices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $ $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week
