Support Staff

Lake Zurich, Illinois, United States Nirvana Center Dispensaries Full time

Are you ready to break into one of the fastest-growing industries in the country? At Nirvana Cannabis, we're not just selling products-we're creating experiences, guiding customers, and shaping the future of cannabis retail. As a family owned and operated company, we take pride in fostering a welcoming, supportive environment for both our customers and our team.

We celebrate individuality and the unique strengths each person brings to the industry. Our goal is to develop our staff into the next generation of cannabis leaders, giving you the tools, training, and opportunities to grow right along with us.

What You'll Do

As Support Staff, you'll be the heart of our dispensary operations. From the moment customers walk through the door, you'll set the tone with a warm welcome, friendly guidance, and expert knowledge of cannabis products. Whether you're working reception, floating to keep the sales floor running smoothly, or jumping in as a budtender, you'll bring the energy and professionalism that keeps customers coming back.

On any given day, you might:

  • Educate customers on cannabis strains, medicinal uses, and consumption methods

  • Check IDs and keep us fully compliant with state regulations

  • Ring up purchases with accuracy (and style) using our POS system

  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and inviting shop environment

  • Support your teammates and communicate like a pro-because we rise together

What We're Looking For

We want team players who are excited about cannabis, love working with people, and thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. The ideal candidate is:

  • Friendly, approachable, and passionate about helping others

  • Detail-oriented and reliable when it comes to cash handling and compliance

  • A strong communicator who works well under pressure

  • Curious and eager to keep learning about the cannabis industry

Previous retail experience is a plus, but what matters most is your attitude, integrity, and commitment to great service.

Perks of the Role - Your Career Growth Starts Here

This isn't just a job-it's a launchpad. At Nirvana, Support Staff gain hands-on experience across multiple roles: reception, inventory, and budtending. That means you'll build a strong foundation in compliance, customer service, and retail operations-skills that prepare you to level up in the cannabis industry.

Many of our leaders started as Support Staff. With hard work, curiosity, and the right attitude, you'll have the opportunity to grow into positions like Sales Supervisor, Inventory Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, and even Store Manager. We don't just fill shifts-we develop leaders.

As a family-owned business that values individuality, we'll work with you to shape your career path and help you grow into the industry leader you're meant to be.

What You'll Need
  • High School Diploma or GED

  • At least one year of retail experience preferred

  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, and lift up to 30 lbs

  • Must meet all state requirements for cannabis industry employment.

Why Nirvana?

At Nirvana Cannabis, we believe in empowering our team, uplifting our community, and setting the standard for excellence in cannabis retail. As a family owned and operated business, we treat our employees like family too. We celebrate individuality, we invest in growth, and we're proud to say that many of our best leaders started exactly where you are now-on the sales floor, making an impact as Support Staff.

If you're ready to take the first step toward a career in the booming cannabis industry, this is your chance.
