We are looking for an experienced and energetic Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our amazing teaching team for the school year. You must have a great love and patience for young children. Qualifications needed to teach them effectively include knowledge of best practices and preschool/Pre-K educational methods. The goal is to contribute to the healthy mental and emotional development of the child so they can more easily acclimate in the next level of their education. Your Responsibilities

  • Develop a careful and creative program with your co-teacher
  • Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, etc.)
  • Observe each child and keep a current portfolio to share with parents at conference time
  • Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities through a carefully constructed curriculum
  • Communicate with parents regularly
  • Collaborate with other educators
  • Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety requirements
  • Teaching schedule is Monday-Thursday, 8:30 am-1:30 pm

Skills and Personality

  • Proven experience as a Pre-K Teacher
  • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool/Pre-K educational methods
  • Familiarity with safety and sanitation requirements for classrooms
  • Excellent communication and instructional skills
  • Friendly, reliable, dependable, fun, self-starter
  • Balance between a creative mind and a practical acumen
  • Certification in child CPR and First Aid
  • BSEd. in education with ECE certification (preferred)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $ $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
