  1. Provides in-home and or office based crisis oriented treatment and support to families.

  2. Conduct thorough, accurate mental health assessments documenting findings according to ODMH standards

  3. Works full-time/part-time non-structured work week, which may include evenings and weekends

  4. Provides family education, skills, training, and individual, family and group therapy using brief, goal-oriented treatment plans

  5. Utilize active listening techniques to help families de-escalate and begin setting priorities

  6. Provides advocacy work with schools, court, and other social service agencies as needed

  7. When appropriate, arranges for follow-up and ongoing case management after termination to ensure that referral to ongoing services occurs smoothly

  8. Attends staff meetings and in-service training by employer

  9. Attends and participates in weekly case consultation sessions and business meetings as necessary.

  10. Keeps thorough and up-to-date client records and charting

  11. Cooperates in efforts to provide support and back-up for fellow therapists

  12. Dresses appropriately per agency guidelines

  13. Does necessary communication with insurance companies and funding agencies as needed

  14. Assumes any other responsibilities as may be appropriate as directed by the Clinical Director

Qualifications
  1. A minimum of a Masters Degree in Social work or counseling-related field.

  2. Licensed, certified or registered individuals as identified by appropriate licensing, certifying or registering bodies.

  3. Effective written and verbal communication

  4. Effective crisis intervention skills
