Position Summary
As the Warehouse Lead of the Distribution Center, you will assume responsibility for all material handling functions in the warehouse, encompassing tasks such as delivering products, picking orders, and managing shipping and receiving operations. Performing these duties with precision and a commitment to timeliness upholding the highest standards of care, integrity, and professionalism. Direct Reports: Warehouse Associates
Overview:
Lead a team of warehouse associates to ensure smooth daily operations, including receiving, pick, pack and ship functions. Support safety, accuracy, and efficiency across all warehouse activities.
Key responsibilities
General Duties:
- Supervise warehouse staff and daily tasks
- Train new team members and provide ongoing support
- Maintain positive working relationships with all co-workers and ECCO employee
- Ensure all shipments and receiving is completed within designated time frames
- Monitor performance and ensure goals are met
- Support all required cycle counts & annual count
- Foster a respectful and team-oriented work environment
- Help with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse
- Comply with Ecco's H&S and Human Resources policies and procedures
- Be a leader for the team by showing professionalism, respect and integrity
Warehouse Lead Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse associates in receiving, picking, packing, and shipping operations
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
- Coordinate all shipments and special instruction orders with shipping, verifying back orders and following any special instructions.
- Actioning daily itinerary including shipping/picker designation as well as plan next days picking/shipping/projects.
- Ensure all orders are processed accurately and completely, including verifying picking tickets, BOLs, and special instructions.
- Ensure all receiving is completed in a timely manner
- Pick, pack and ship goods to customers safely, efficiently and accurately ensuring all paperwork is completed and sent with the shipment
- Perform audits on daily shipments to ensure accuracy
- Lead the team in following safety protocols. Address issues promptly with the Warehouse or Distribution Manager. Report hazards, assist in investigations, and operate equipment safely
- Maintain and oversee Forklift safety and daily checklists.
- Supervise and train warehouse associates, fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment.
- Participate in annual inventory counts and maintain high standards of inventory accuracy.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Post-Secondary Education an asset
- Forklift and reach truck experience
- Minimum 1-year experience in supervisory capacity
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Highly effective and motivational; employee interaction skills essential
- Hands-on commitment to getting the job done
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve under pressure
