Under the general supervision of the Tri tool Grinding operations Team, the individual will be responsible for manufacturing precision tool bits used in Tri Tool machines. This role involves completing all stages of production — from setup and grinding to deburring, honing, inspection, and finishing — to ensure high-quality, reliable tooling.

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented craftsperson with strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Requirements

 TYPICAL DUTIES:
· Manufacture, grind, and finish precision tool bits according to engineered drawing.

· Troubleshoot and resolve grinding issues to maintain quality and efficiency.

· Set up and operate equipment for a wide variety of form tool configurations.

· Route and organize stock in designated storage areas.

· Learn and maintain knowledge of multiple fixtures and grinding techniques.

· Perform routine machine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in optimal condition.

· Support scheduling and production flow as needed.

· Manage time effectively to meet daily production goals.

· Perform additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
 · Experience in a related machining, Production, grinding or similar roles.

· Ability to work safely and follow all safety policies involved with proper use of equipment and tools.

· Proficiency with measuring and inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.).

· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

· Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic production environment.

ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

 · Experience operating cutter grinders, surface grinders, sanders, deburring tools, and other hand-operated machinery.

· Technical or vocational training in machining or related field.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma or GED

Technical/Other on-the-job training

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance:


• Heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.

• Bending and stooping

• Fine motor skills

• Standing for long periods of time
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

 This position operates in a high-energy manufacturing and warehouse environment. Candidates should be comfortable working around heat, noise, grinding dust, and machinery such as grinders, sanders, and other fabricating tools.
