Role: Certified Surgical Technician
Location: Binghamton, NY
Contract Duration: 13 weeks contract with a possibility of extension
Pay Rate: Up To $39/hr
Work Schedule: 40 hrs/week, Monday - Thursday
Shift: 9pm- 7am
COVID VACCINE AND FLU SHOT REQUIRED
REQUIREMENTS:
- A graduate of an accredited surgical technician program and surgical technician certification.
- BLS/CPR and CST Required
- ACLS required
- CPI required
- Need at least 2 yrs of ST experience
- prefer some robotic, cardiothoracic and general cases experience;
- may need to float to other hospitals within a 40 mile radius
- 2 Professional References
- On call required
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Setting up the instruments and equipment that is required for the procedure
- Sterilizing equipment and taking an inventory to ensure there are enough supplies for surgery
- Preparing the patient for surgery
- Passing the Surgeon instruments and sterile supplies throughout the operation
- Taking a count of all surgical instruments and supplies prior to the operation
- Recounting surgical instruments and supplies at the end of the operation
- Maintaining an overall sterile environment throughout the surgery
