The Opportunity
We are partnering with organizations in Kalamazoo that are seeking Quality Engineers. These companies are committed to building strong teams and are looking for professionals who can lead initiatives effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control plans and procedures.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Perform internal and external audits of products, processes, and the quality management system.
- Analyze quality data, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and enhance product reliability.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring design for quality and manufacturability.
Recommended Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in quality tools such as FMEA, Control Plans, SPC, and MSA.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 or other relevant quality management system standards.
- Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions (e.g., 8D methodology).
Bonus Qualifications
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification.
- Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) or data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., medical devices, aerospace, automotive).
- Demonstrated experience leading Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives.
