Our ideal candidate is a reliable troubleshooter, adept at handling multiple priorities with excellent coping skills. Whether working independently or collaboratively, you're self-managed and customer focused.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set up and maintain Windows servers, desktops, and network devices; bonus points for Linux experience.

  • Contribute to system design, hardware/software implementation, and overall infrastructure support.

  • Embrace new technologies to meet evolving requirements.

  • Document system configurations and baselines.

  • Provide backup and recovery services while managing file systems and disk space.

  • Utilize desktop and server virtualization within Hyper-V, VMWare vSphere and ESXI.

  • Handle ticket load and prioritization of daily on-site support and troubleshooting.

  • Work on multiple projects, either as a team member or occasionally leading a project.

  • Manage user accounts and access control in a domain or stand-alone environment.

  • Ensure the proper marking, handling, and storage of classified materials.

  • Troubleshoot and repair Windows operating system issues on server and workstations.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years' relevant experience; equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

  • Minimum of 3+ years of direct System Administrator experience.

  • Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain Top-Secret clearance.

  • DoD Directive 8570 / 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification. (Security+ CE, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to interface effectively with security agencies, customers, and management.

  • Manage multiple networks in a dynamic, demanding environment.

  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework requirements for Windows and Linux systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a classified Collateral environment / SAP / SCI.

  • System Administrator experience in a similarly sized organization.

  • Understanding of network concepts, Type 1 encryption devices (e.g., TACLANE), and cybersecurity tools.

  • Knowledge of securely configuring network equipment (switches and firewalls).

At Leidos, we don't want someone who "fits the mold"—we want someone who melts it down and builds something better. This is a role for the restless, the over-caffeinated, the ones who ask, "what's next?" before the dust settles on "what's now."

If you're already scheming step 20 while everyone else is still debating step 2… good. You'll fit right in.

Original Posting:October 29,

For U.S. Positions: While subject to change based on business needs, Leidos reasonably anticipates that this job requisition will remain open for at least 3 days with an anticipated close date of no earlier than 3 days after the original posting date as listed above.
