Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with our restaurant's menu and standards. You will work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and service, contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients and assist in the cooking process for various menu items.
  • Follow recipes and presentation specifications to ensure consistency in food quality.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and knives safely and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to manage food preparation and service during peak hours.
  • Assist in menu planning by providing input on seasonal ingredients and dish ideas.
  • Help with inventory management by tracking supplies and notifying management of shortages.

Skills

  • 1 year of experience working in a pizzeria (preferred)
  • Experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable.
  • Proficient knife skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques.
  • Strong understanding of food safety practices and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a willingness to learn new techniques or recipes.
  • Familiarity with dietary needs and menu planning is a plus.
