This position requires a detail oriented, multi-tasking, deadline driven individual. The essential duties include -Responsible for the preparation, coding, and submission of all OEM and vendor warranty claims in a timely manner.Understands and insures compliance with all OEM and vendor policies and warranty procedures and insures proper documentation on all claims.Ensures that the amounts claimed correspond to the criteria of the manufacturer/supplier.Identifies exceptional cases which may result in special agreements with the manufacturer/supplier; completes the required documents and follows up.Reviews claims exceeding the time frames prescribed by the manufacturer/supplier or which are not processed in the regular manner.Analyzes claims denied by the manufacturer/supplier with Service Manager and, if applicable, resubmits them as soon as possible with correct documentation.Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments within the appropriate accounting schedule weekly.Analyze and review all credits and charge backs. Post in a timely manner.Follows up on parts that tested serviceable by the manufacturer with service manager.Notifies customer immediately for payment if chargeback reflects a non-warrantable failure.Follows up on payment of outstanding claims, not to exceed 60 days.Keeps abreast of all warranty policy and product changes to maintain effectiveness in this role.Provides warranty update information to service staff and technicians as needed.Ensures that all warrantable repairs are documented, technicians' comments are descriptive and precise, and that the allotted time is noted prior to submission for closing.Files and retains all warranty service records as required by the vehicle & engine manufacturers and component suppliers.Assists the service department in answering phone calls when necessary.Ensures the defective parts are returned to the manufacturer/supplier.Keeps up-to-date on all manufacturer's recalls and bulletins.Maintains a professional appearance.Performs other tasks, based on management requirements and instructions.Ability to maintain a standard of excellence for warranty rejections.
