Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm, explaining daily specials and answering questions about menu items.
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff.
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and quality.
  • Upsell menu items and suggestive selling to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments through POS systems.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of tables, dining areas, and service stations by bussing tables and assisting with food handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address any guest concerns promptly for maximum satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or quick service & fast food environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as square is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with guests.
  • Demonstrated time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours.
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, retail math understanding, and restaurant math calculations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, adapt quickly, and maintain a positive attitude throughout shifts.
