Overview

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Retail Sales Associate to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting with product demonstrations, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain their needs to provide tailored assistance.
  • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions and returns.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to enhance customer understanding and encourage purchases.
  • Maintain merchandising standards by organizing displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring products are well-presented.
  • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining phone etiquette during customer interactions.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve store sales goals and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Tagging/ barcoding new product that comes in.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers effectively.
  • Basic math skills required for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Experience with supervising staff is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to better serve our diverse customer base.
  • Familiarity with merchandising techniques and product stocking practices is advantageous.
