Position Description

The Jr Chef de Partie position is a senior-level line cook responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and consistency. This role requires advanced culinary skills, deep knowledge of kitchen operations, and the ability to work independently. Cook 1 serves as a key support to the Sous Chef, often leading sections of the kitchen and helping to train junior staff. They are typically one step below a kitchen supervisor and may act in a supervisory role when needed.

Position Requirements

• 3+ years of professional cooking experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting.
• Advanced knowledge of culinary techniques, food preparation, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure during busy service hours.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
• Food Handler's Certificate (or ability to obtain upon hire).
• Culinary degree or formal training is a plus but not required.
