Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our team. In this position, you will play a key role in supporting the operations of our school cafeteria. You will assist in preparing and serving nutritious meals and snacks to our students, washing dishes, and ensuring a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, deep cleaning of all areas of the kitchen, sanitizing surfaces, and storing food properly.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and hygiene practices.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring, managing, rotating, and putting away inventory of food and kitchen supplies.
  • Assist with Meal Service: Help in serving meals and snacks to students, ensuring prompt and friendly service.
  • Food Preparation: Assist in preparing meals and snacks for students, following established recipes and portion sizes.
  • Assist Head Cook: Support the Head Cook in meal preparation and kitchen operations as needed.
  • Other Duties: Assist with other kitchen-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment required.
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Can lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with a team.
  • A passion for providing nutritious meals to children.
  • Able to work in environment with young people
  • Eligible to be employed in the United States and pass a background screening
