About the Role

We're seeking an experienced, relationship-driven Sales Representative to help expand our business in the industrial and energy sectors across the Midwest. This role focuses on identifying and engaging large commercial and industrial facilities that spend more than $500,000 annually on utilities such as water, natural gas, and electricity.

You'll work directly with key decision-makers in manufacturing, healthcare, and government facilities to introduce energy solutions that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support sustainability goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new business across targeted industries including:
  • Foundries and steel mills
  • Food and beverage manufacturing
  • Chemical processing
  • Paper mills and corrugators
  • Advanced manufacturing (robotics, automation, and electronics)
  • Healthcare facilities and pharmaceutical operations
  • Government and defense contractors
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with facility directors, engineers, and purchasing managers.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue clients with annual energy expenditures above $500,000.
  • Present solutions that help customers optimize energy use and reduce operating costs.
  • Coordinate with internal technical and service teams to support project delivery.
  • Maintain a consistent sales pipeline using CRM tools and follow-up processes.
  • Travel throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, Minnesota, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, and Tennessee.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of B2B or industrial sales experience required.
  • Experience working with manufacturing, energy, or facility management clients strongly preferred.
  • Ability to understand and discuss operational systems, energy data, and ROI calculations.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-starter with a proven record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regionally (30–50%).

Preferred Background

  • Experience in energy services, utilities, mechanical systems, or industrial solutions.
  • Knowledge of energy efficiency programs or sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
