Tucson, Arizona, United States Smith Performance Center Full time

"When you join our team at Smith Performance Center (SPC), you are on a mission to help people understand, manage, and improve their health."

Most people never learn how to take control of their own health. Even when they find the right place, they may never hear the stories or see the process that helps them believe it's possible.

That's where you come in.

Our communication team connects what happens inside SPC—our system, our people, and our results—with the community we serve. We create clarity through storytelling, visuals, and education that inspire people to take the next step in their health journey.

Smith Performance Center exists because people should understand how to manage their health and live an active lifestyle.

SPC is hiring a part-time Social Media & Marketing Assistant.

You are the right person if:

  • You are creative and detail-oriented, with an interest in health, fitness, and storytelling.
  • You're comfortable behind a camera or computer, editing photos and videos, and turning them into engaging content.
  • You like writing short, clear messages that make complex ideas easy to understand.
  • You are an ideal team player—humble, hungry, and people-smart.
  • You are growth-minded—open to feedback and excited to learn how to apply marketing systems that make a real difference.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to help organize and execute SPC's content strategy across multiple platforms.

You'll work directly with our clinical and coaching teams to share educational content, program updates, and community stories through newsletters, blog posts, and social media.

  • Post and format weekly blogs, newsletters, and program updates on WordPress and Constant Contact.
  • Create job flyers and communicate new announcements or updates about SPC to employees
  • Create and schedule social media posts for Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Edit short-form videos from interviews, clinics, and educational talks.
  • Capture photos and clips onsite during events at SPC.
  • Assist in building marketing funnels and tracking engagement metrics.
  • Collaborate with the SPC team to plan campaigns, write captions, and support launches.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Quick learner for different software tools.
  • Organized, reliable, and eager to learn.
  • Comfortable working in a health and fitness environment.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Familiarity with WordPress, Constant Contact, and social media scheduling tools.
  • Interest or background in exercise, rehab, or performance training.
  • Experience capturing or editing short-form video content

  • $18 per hour.
  • 10 hours per week, onsite at SPC (Tucson).
  • Flexible schedule.
  • Mentorship and skill development in marketing, content creation, and storytelling.
  • Exposure to an innovative model that integrates physical therapy, strength training, and health education.
