This role is intended for a detail-oriented professional cook who is capable of consistently preparing and packaging high-quality food for distribution.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Receive and store provisions following all food safety protocols including but not limited to FIFO, proper food labeling, and proper food storage temperatures/locations

· Wash, peel, and cut fruits and vegetables to the specifications required for company recipes. Safely handle and portion proteins for cooking

· Ensure all products are cooked according to the times and temperatures specified in company recipes. Ensure that cooked products are properly cooled and stored as per Department of Health guidelines

· Maintain a kitchen and work area that meets the highest standards of cleanliness. Disassemble and clean kitchen equipment daily or as is required to maintain its safety and performance. All kitchen staff share the responsibility of washing and putting away pans, cookware, utensils, etc. to maintain an organized kitchen

· Operate packaging equipment following company processes. Apply labels as necessary while being mindful of product appearance.

Required Qualifications:

· 18 years of age or older

· High School diploma or equivalent

· Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S.

· Minimum 1 year of foodservice experience

· Be familiar with basic cooking techniques including blanching, braising, roasting, searing, poaching, grilling, frying, and sauce-making

· Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, as well as carry, push, pull, bend, twist, and kneel

· Have completed or be willing to complete a food handler certification

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

· Punctual, with reliable transportation
