TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking a compassionate and motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to assist Occupational Therapists in delivering therapeutic services that help patients regain independence in daily living activities. The COTA will provide hands-on support for patients across various care settings and promote functional improvement and quality of life.

Job Responsibilities
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist and adjust activities as directed.
  • Lead patients through exercises and therapeutic activities to support their recovery goals.
  • Monitor and document patient progress and report observations to the supervising OT.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive equipment use, safety, and self-care strategies.
  • Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure compliance with documentation standards.
  • Ensure safe and clean therapy environments and prepare materials needed for sessions.
  • Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary care teams to support patient outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure in the applicable state.
  • Minimum 1 year of COTA experience preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to follow clinical direction and adapt therapy to individual patient needs.
