We're offering paid summer internships for students who want to fight back against government overreach and build a career defending individual rights. Interns earn at least $20 per hour while gaining real courtroom experience, drafting motions, supporting trial teams, and shaping case strategy under the mentorship of seasoned trial attorneys. This full-time, on-site program (40 hours/week) gives students the chance to stand on the front lines of criminal defense, sharpen their trial skills, and position themselves for future employment in one of Florida's most historic circuits. With a proud legacy of protecting constitutional freedoms and a location in Central Florida between Tampa and Orlando, our office offers law students the rare chance to grow as advocates while living in a vibrant and affordable community.

Who Should Apply


• Any law student with a strong interest in becoming an assistant public defender in one of our offices after graduation. The internship is in our Bartow office, but there may be openings to work in our Sebring or Wauchula offices after graduation.


• Summer positions are available for your 1L and/or 2L summer


• 40 hours per week in our Bartow office (not remote)
