Job Summary: Operate and chart Trackman for all home games at Goodyear Ballpark and the Reds Player Development Complex. This role will support Baseball Operations, Scouting and Player Development through data capture and research.

  • Bachelor's degree or pursuit of degree preferred.


Experience
  • No experience required. Experience with current baseball technologies is a plus (BATS, Trackman, Hawk-Eye, TruMedia, Blast, and Edgertronic).


Skills
  • Strong ability to communicate effectively.
  • Strong technical problem-solving abilities, including troubleshooting hardware and software.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills, ensuring accurate data entry.
  • Strong computer skills and technical proficiency, including experience with spreadsheets and data entry platforms.


Other
  • Available to cover all home games throughout the year, including Spring Training and end of season camps. Hours include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies.


Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Duty

Description

Capture, Edit, Distribute, Display, and Organization – 50%
  • Operate Trackman for all home games.
  • Make sure all assigned activities including games, data, practice video, etc. are captured, uploaded, and reported to the system on the same day.
  • Track video and data collection for reporting purposes.
  • Assist staff with ad-hoc research projects and video/data requests.
  • Ensure clean and organized workspace and maintain equipment.


Coordinating, Planning, and Communication - 20%
  • Ensure daily reports are accurate and submitted on the same day of the activities.
  • Collaborate with other departments to plan, manage, and integrate video and technology tools.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Accuracy, Reliability, and Efficiency – 30%
  • Ensure accurate and reliable video and data through systematic checks and all available resources.


Reports To: Coordinator & Specialist, Video and Technology

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand and walk for extended periods throughout the day.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds (supplies, machinery, etc.).
  • Ability to bend, squat, reach, and climb stairs regularly in the course of daily duties
  • Comfortable working in varying conditions (heat, humidity, cold, outdoors, confined spaces like office/cubicles and locker rooms). Work is primarily performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • Ability to handle repetitive tasks at a computer.
  • Sufficient hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for tasks like computer work, note-taking, etc.
  • Ability to work long shifts with long and variable hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to drive and/or fly short and long distances, day or night in various conditions.
