Advantage Engineering Associates P.C. (AEA) is currently searching for an Engineering Intern to join our Civil Department at our Cranbury, New Jersey office. This individual will be working on highway, traffic, and transportation projects. This engineer will serve as a member of an integrated design team and be responsible for coordinating civil design with other disciplines, to meet project schedules and budgets, while working directly under licensed Professionals Engineers.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a BS degree in Civil Engineering
  • Demonstrate basic proficiency with AutoCAD, have strong technical skills, and possess the ability to learn and apply new skills quickly and efficiently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of MicroStation is a plus.
  • Perform work responsibilities as required by business needs.
  • Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Committed to working efficiently to complete tasks within strict schedule restraints.
  • Ability to either work independently or within a team environment.
  • A self-starter with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of basic engineering theories and principles
  • Understanding of basic practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, and making sound recommendations
