Job DescriptionThe Role: The Controls Engineer will analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing. Ability to work autonomously and in team environment with occasional guidance from supervision. This is an off-shift position; the selected candidate must be willing to work any shift as required.What You'll Do (Responsibilities): Analyze, troubleshoot, and diagnose electrical problems in manufacturing operation.Design and modify electrical control circuits and programsPerform a wide range of engineering tasks on CNC equipment / robots using engineering software and hardware.Lead technical problem solving / work with cross functional team to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing process.Implement new technology as required to improve our manufacturing processes.Make contributions to the resolution of complex manufacturing problemsSupport and/or train skilled electriciansMaintain electrical equipmentOversee project installations by contractors and plant electriciansDevelop and plan electrical projectsYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications): Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field, or equivalent technical experience3+ years of Industrial Control System experienceProficient in PLC and HMI ProgrammingTroubleshooting of Servo, and VFD SystemsKnowledge of Industrial Communication Protocols such as Profinet, Profibus, EthernetMust be willing to work any shift; off shift requiredWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications): Troubleshooting of RoboticKnowledge of CNC codeExposure to Siemens, Rockwell, and Fanuc PLCKnowledge of Industrial Cameras (Cognex, Keyence, Matrox…)Experience with Safety PLCGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
