Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – PRN

Outpatient | Newport News, VA

Mindful Communication Group (MCG) is a therapist-owned, multidisciplinary private practice providing outpatient speech therapy and mental health services. We are seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support outpatient speech therapy services as client needs arise.

This role is ideal for an SLP seeking flexible, PRN work within a well-structured, clinician-led practice, without pressure to carry a full caseload or commit to fixed hours.

Job Type

  • PRN / As-Needed
  • Open to W-2 employee or 1099 contractor, based on role fit and preference
  • Outpatient services delivered in person, with potential for teletherapy depending on client needs

Compensation

  • W-2 PRN: Commensurate with experience, starting at $45 per hour
  • 1099 contractor: Commensurate with experience, starting at $55 per hour

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech-language evaluations, including standardized and informal assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized, functional treatment plans aligned with best practices
  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to assigned clients
  • Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant documentation within the electronic medical record (EHR) system
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members as appropriate
  • Adhere to ASHA standards of practice, ethical guidelines, and applicable state and federal regulations

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Virginia SLP license
  • New Grads welcome to apply
