Emma Willard School seeks a part-time Driver to  transport student(s) to and from off campus activities (such as lessons, college classes, internships or other community commitments).

Key Areas of Responsibility

Safely drive students to and from off-campus commitmentsPunctual and collegialKeep accurate records of attendanceTimely communication for the safe and efficient pick-up of students.Daily inspection of the vehicle  and maintaining accurate records of trips.Be a positive force in the lives of students. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Valid driver's licenseDemonstrate a commitment to safety and best practicesHave a good working knowledge of Google platforms (especially email and Google Calendar)Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to manage priorities Demonstrate superior judgmentBe an advocate for the Emma Willard School mission

Physical Demands/Work Environment 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for prolonged periods of time.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.Exposure to outside weather conditions, rain, snow, sleet, high winds, etc.May be required to work beyond the scheduled time to ensure the safe transport of student(s).

Preferred Qualifications/Competencies

Previous professional driving experience (School Bus, CEVO/EVOC, private service, medicab/ambulette, ride share services, etc.) Experience working with teenagers. Flexible schedule, able to add one-off trips in addition to recurring ones.CPR/First Aid Certification

Compensation:

The driver will be compensated at a rate of $23/hour with a minimum of one hour.
